Our Restless Feet

Finally, after a month of preparation our team gathered for our first ever out of town bonding. After our shift back on January 28, 2011 (just wanted to remember the date) we went to Tagaytay just for a day of fun, adventure and relaxing weekend. We had a stop over in SLEX to have breakfast at McDonalds and some picture taking moments to start our day. (FYI, Our team really loves photo shoot.) Back on the road, we started worrying due to the bad weather condition ahead of us. It started to drizzle which later on followed by fast and strong rain drops along the way. It’s a long drive going to our destination so everyone tried to keep themselves awake.  One van was rented but our team mate brought a car and that’s where I stayed with a little group of people from our team, mostly are close to me.  Everyone’s chit-chatting, cracking jokes and some are just singing to the melody played on the radio. (Well, that’s me to be more specific). The noise later on subsided to a moment of silence as everyone started to feel the exhaustion from work leaving me and the driver awake.  I was just quietly observing the view around while soothing myself with the relaxing music that envelopes me. I manage not to sleep to somehow entertain Mych while he’s driving to keep us safe. A couple of hours more we finally reached the location and our first stop is Picnic Grove. All of us are excited to get off the car to feel the cool breeze that welcomed us in spite of the unpredictable weather.  After paying the entrance fee, we proceed to the overlooking Taal View. It was truly breath-taking and stunning work of nature. The beauty of the scenery amazes me and makes me wonder how it was formed by God’s creative hands.  So then we started capturing the wonders of nature with us in it and appreciate its grandeur. Some of our team members take the urge to adrenaline rush and thrilling activities like zip lining while the rest watched them with awe. We also intended to do other group activities prepared by our Boss (Paps), but the rain started pouring again. It didn’t turn out the way we planned but at least we enjoyed our time together to unwind.  We move to our next stop over, Green Ats Restaurant, just along Tagaytay Area. The most awaited Bulalo moment is the climax of the whole trip. One by one, we ordered the must try in the menu. We had Bulalo (of course), Kare-kare, Chopsuey and Sisig.  The meal was awesome and flavorful plus the cozy ambiance and wonderful view of Taal Lake completes the package.  We get back on the road going to Cavite, our last stop to Kuya Joey’s place and continued the fun as the night sets in. At last we met his lovely wife and adorable daughter who welcomed us in their humble home. Another remarkable dinner cooked by Bev and other’s who volunteered in preparing our dinner while the rest started with Videoke and drinking sessions.  We discovered that a good number of people can sing very well from the group…to name some; Karen, Hart and even Paps took our breath away. I thought the night won’t be over as we sing our hearts out only then we realized that the Van we rented is until 9pm only. Some of us stayed for a little while to continue the party but finished off with unforgettable memories, bonded and strong team combined with great pleasure in our hearts as we continue to carry on with our relationship as a team. Looking forward for more time to chill out, unwind and have a stress-free get together with Team Optimus Prime (as we call ourselves). From this experience, I realized that work without fun could be extremely boring. A sincere thanks to all for this unforgettable happening! :)

Once in a lifetime memory ;)

I barely have free time this past few days...I've been missing updating this blog for a while. I was so preoccupied with our upcoming yearend party coz' I joined the Inter-Division Dancing Contest and We religiously practice daily with our routine. Nwei, there's not much to tell recently... except that I had my birthday bash last November 12, 2011(unfortunately i can't celebrate on my exact natal day November 10)... T'was extraordinary I can say. I celebrated this momentous event with the closest people I have and I truly appreciate their presence. Ofcourse this wouldn't be possible without the extra effort of my loving partner.  Needless to say but I'm thankful to these people that inspite of their busy schedule manage to spare time just to be with me. Normally, i celebrate birthday with my closest friends and exclusively with my family but this one was a major hit.Perhaps it's because of the number of attendees this time (although not all were able to make it) and the fact that i was able to combine my friends from all walks of life. Moreover, there's a lot to be grateful for the year that passed, new found friends, opportunities that knocked my door, unexpected luxury of a priceless vacation with Bolen, countless blessings, good health for my entire family, and most of all guidance from up above. It was indeed a remarkable year for me and looking forward for another year of fun, love and happiness. (by the way photos of my celebration to follow :)

Happy Halloween?

What's happy about Halloween in the first place... well it's just my own personal opinion but i find this event highly unnecessary and this was the most unlikely that i would celebrate unless required. Wearing costumes that would make the complete get up of a horrible or frightening image isn't really funny and very disturbing or worse disgusting. hmmm I must admit that i easily get scared especially watching horror films. Normally, I'm having goose bumps all over me and it gives a shivery feeling when added with matching sound effects. I usually end up running back and forth or worse, if i can't contain the feeling of helplessness, sleeping which leads to a nightmare. In line with Spooktacular Halloween Special, I would like to share the scariest movies i ever witnessed. My top 10 list and more... haha

1. The Ring (who wouldn't panic seeing Sadako crawling out of your TV! damn!)
2. Exorcist (i didn't even finish watching this... might get a heart attack!)
3. Drag Me to Hell ( waaahhh can't forget the old lady's eye!waaah!)
4. Paranormal Activity ( the poor baby was drag from his bed up and down... t'was very alarming!)
5. The Grudge (OMG! it's really fresh in my memory. so creepy!huhuhu)
6. One Missed Call (I get nervous everytime my cellphone rings because of this... )
7. Final Destination (funny but i was able to follow the sequel even if it scares me to death haha)
8. Chuckie (since i was a kid, this doll gives me cold sweat! huh!)
9. Jason and Freddy ( i hate morbid scenes...whew!)
10. SAW (i never really followed this...it makes me wanna puke!eww!)

I also have one for Filipino Films, Feng Sui of Kris Aquino and i forgot the title but i guess it's in MMK that i saw Judy Ann Santos played a very challenging devil-possessed role which i find very real... I know that this are all make believe that's why in real life I may not be as timid as I may seem, that I know I have a God to believe in. That the greatest weapon to all my fears is my faith in God. Who will protect me from any harm and will cover me with his precious blood in times of trouble. To sum it up,celebrating Halloween for me is just offering a simple yet peaceful prayer for the souls of my loved-ones who passed-away...nothing more, nothing less...

Echoes Within

I recently bumped into this song when i least expected it one late afternoon when i'm dying to watch music videos on tv. MTV had a portion where they play 2 music videos of each artist back to back(i really forgot what it's called). Well, it started with J-Lo's On the Floor and Papi which i really find the latter amusingly funny with all the guys drooling over her and wooed their love then followed by Kelly Clarkson's Already Gone and Mr. Know it all. Yet its Already Gone which struck me the most... the melody and lyrics are well arranged plus her overwhelming video...it's as if she's talking to you personally and she knows your thoughts. I can say i was moved in totality...perhaps i feel the same sentiment that very moment when i'm in a state of limbo or was i just carried away (it doesnt matter). So i did my research looking for the lyrics, when was it released and all the details. I was surprised that my guess was right its pretty much part of a brand new album of hers entitled "Stronger"  so fresh  that its still gonna be out in the market this Oct. 24, 2011. I'm positive that this will be a big hit as usual. It's a complete package and has blown me away maybe because thru music i can express myself better and reveal my emotions lately.I love the song and i bet you'll love it too...utterly beautiful yet tearful... ;( See for yourself...

"Already Gone"
Remember all the things we wanted
Now all our memories, they're haunted
We were always meant to say goodbye
Even with our fists held high
It never would have worked out right, yeah
We were never meant for do or die
I didn't want us to burn out
I didn't come here to hurt you now I can't stop

[Chorus]
I want you to know
That it doesn't matter
Where we take this road
But someone's gotta go
And I want you to know
You couldn't have loved me better
But I want you to move on
So I'm already gone

Looking at you makes it harder
But I know that you'll find another
That doesn't always make you wanna cry
It started with the perfect kiss then
We could feel the poison set in
"Perfect" couldn't keep this love alive
You know that I love you so
I love you enough to let you go

[Chorus]

You can't make it feel right
When you know that it's wrong
I'm already gone, already gone
There's no moving on
So I'm already gone
Ah already gone, already gone, already gone
Ah already gone, already gone, already gone

Remember all the things we wanted
Now all our memories, they're haunted
We were always meant to say goodbye

[Chorus]

You can't make it feel right
When you know that it's wrong
I'm already gone, already gone
There's no moving on
So I'm already gone

Sleepless Soul... :(

So many days I find myself wide awake even after work where everyone else is suppose to rest their mind and body right away.  It's like my soul is wandering outside of me temporarily and left my body unconscious. My mind was too preoccupied that even sleep couldn't sink in. Thoughts are overflowing rigorously but mostly worries devours me alive.Perhaps this is the main reason why I couldn't sleep, finding myself being disturbed with so many things going on with my life can really be bothersome most of the time. It seems like there's a strange force pushing you off the cliff and leave you without power to control it that it defeats you and makes you helpless. Like you're too close to insanity on that particular moment if you couldn't hold on to yourself for long. In these awkward moments I find myself contemplating in the end. Realization bites and the troubles goes away, too far for you to encounter once again. The severe pain causing your mind to swell suddenly vanished and claims your sanity back. I still manage to look at the bright side of life...that I'll be able to get through it with God's guidance and inspiration from my family, friends and most especially my Bolen...who always lighten up my day..  Now, I'm sleepy... praise God. :)
